Hoham Named to Advisory Board

The USHSTCA is pleased to announce the addition of Jeff Hoham to its 2001 Advisory Board.

Jeff is the head coach of Lincoln East High School in Lincoln, Nebraska, where his boys teams won an incredible eight straight state titles from 1988-1995.

Hoham has coached tennis and soccer as well as taught English for the past fourteen years at East High. He has coached the boys tennis team since 1987 and has a won loss record of 201-7. He coached girls tennis from 1988-1991 and his won loss record was 45-2. The girls won three state titles (1889,1990, 1991) and had one runner up finish (1989). He resigned from coaching girl's tennis in 1992 so that he could complete his graduate studies in Sports Science. In 1996 he began coaching boys soccer at East High and his teams have won two state titles (1996, 1997) His teams have a won lost record of 72-8. Overall he has coached 13 state championship teams, and is a certified instructor for the American Sports Education Program (ASEP). He has been recognized as the tennis coach of the year in Nebraska by the Nebraska Coaches Association and also was selected as the `All Sports Coach of the Year' by the `Sportscasters and Journalists' of Nebraska.

Along with the other USHSTCA Advisory Board members, Hoham will give ongoing input on the association's programs and services to better assist the executive director in fulfilling the association's mission.
